Monday July 27, 2026- Chris Brown is facing renewed legal pressure after his former housekeeper, Maria Avila, asked a Los Angeles court to allow her to collect money from the singer's current tour earnings to satisfy a nearly $13 million judgment.
Avila won the award earlier this year after a jury found Brown liable for negligence following a 2020 dog attack at his California home that left her with permanent injuries.
According to the latest court filing, Avila claims Brown has not made any payments toward the judgment and is now seeking access to his financial records. She wants the court to redirect income from his ongoing tour, music royalties, and other entertainment projects until the debt is paid. The request is part of the legal process to enforce the judgment and has not yet been approved by the court.
The case has drawn fresh attention as Brown continues performing across North America while dealing with multiple legal challenges. If the court grants Avila's request, a portion of his tour income could be used to help satisfy the outstanding judgment, adding another major financial hurdle for the R&B star.
