Friday, August 21, 2026 - Mariah Carey is giving fans a major reason to revisit Glitter as the album approaches its 25th anniversary.
The singer has announced a special reissue that will bring the 2001 soundtrack to vinyl for the first time since its original release, while an expanded digital edition will add 15 tracks, including rare and previously unreleased recordings. The full anniversary release is scheduled for October 30, 2026, through Def Jam Records/UMe.
Carey has already kicked off the celebration with a newly reimagined version of “Didn’t Mean to Turn You On” featuring Rochelle Jordan.
The release gives fans an early taste of what is coming, while the vinyl editions are already available to preorder in special formats, including Glittering Pink and Midnight Purple versions. The limited Glittering Pink edition will also include three bonus tracks, adding extra appeal for collectors and longtime fans.
The announcement marks a major moment for an album that has developed a passionate fan following over the years. Carey is now embracing Glitter on her own terms, with the expanded release offering listeners new material from her personal vault alongside fresh collaborations.
