Conmen on the loose again… Living Fund and now Euro Action Fund.

Dear Reader,

It is with saddening news that we have to bring this subject up even after we improved our ‘due diligence’ systems of job verification. So far after around three months we have NOT had any of this problems of conmen trying to benefit from innocent unsuspecting job seekers till one week ago. We wanted to inform the public last week but because our office was trying to follow these people up with the assistance from the economic crimes unit of the police, we decided not to jeopardize the investigation by going public.

We were brought to the attention that the conmen we had warned the public about who used the name ‘Living Fund’ to advertise jobs and swindle people their hard earned cash, they have now changed tact and are using the name Euro Action Fund. Last week we tried following them using phone tracking but we think they realized, shut off communication and sped off into hiding. We were indeed very close and this was almost their last attempt.

We have warned before of this dubious jobs and employers asking for administration money from job applicants (please refer to our warnings page) and we will not stop a shaming them in public. When you suspect that a job is bogus or fake, please send an email to us and we will verify immediately. We want to share tips of knowing a job is NOT genuine:
1.   If all applicants seem to make it through to the interview stage.
2.   If you receive communication only through emails and NOT phone calls.
3.   The contact and physical address of the employers is fake or the calls do NOT go through.
4.   If the interview is meant to be held in premises other than their offices or recruitment agencies offices. Although we can have exceptions in this.
5.   If the prospective employer asks for any money citing reasons such as administration, health insurance or any other. They will normally tell you to send the money through Mpesa. This is crazy, just tell them to deduct from your first salary, because you can’t pay for a job you may NOT make it through.

If you applied for a job to Euro Action and receive any email correspondence, just ignore them.

Our emails are open throughout for any enquiries.

Please we ask you to be very careful
